Phcol531: Genetic Analysis of Signaling Systems

Description

We will introduce students to most of the major genetic model systems currently used to study intracellular signaling.  Each session will also include student presentations on recent papers that make use of genetic techniques to study signal transduction followed by a student led discussion of the significance and future directions of the research.  Students will also choose a topic to write a grant proposal in the format of an NRSA and these proposals will be reviewed by the class in a mock study section at the end of the course.
