P BIO 519: Membrane and Muscle Biophysics Seminar

Description

Acquiring presentation skills is crucial for a scientific career. This course will offer graduate students the opportunity to learn presentation tools to improve their skills. Students will attend scientific seminars given by Postdoctoral Fellows from the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, who will be presenting their current research on topics related to cell membrane function, cell physiology, and muscle contraction. Each seminar will be followed by a discussion session with emphasis on two aspects; the first one will be a scientific discussion to identify the scientific question, experimental approaches, and conclusions of the research; the second will focus on the presentation techniques. The instructor will guide the discussion. Attendees will provide feedback to Postdoctoral Fellows.
