My goal as a mentor is to help all trainees become the best scientists they can be through individual mentoring to address the needs of each person and help them to develop their interests and skills to succeed at UW and in their career. My laboratory has trained several under-represented minority students and postdoctoral fellows who have gone on to successful careers in basic research, biotechnology, and pharma.
