Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement

I value and have put considerable effort into promoting diversity. While serving as director of our summer internship programs and the MCB graduate program, I created the ‘Continuing Umbrella of Research Experience’ program, which provides summer research opportunities for underrepresented students and faculty . As the P.I. of the Interdisciplinary Training Program in Cancer, I have ensured increased diversity within the program. My laboratory and I have hosted many minority visiting scientists and trainees from all levels of academic progression, from faculty to high school interns.
