Research Summary

The Iritani lab is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms that control the development and functions of lymphocytes, and how when dysregulated, these signaling pathways can result in immunodeficiency diseases, autoimmunity, and/or cancer. Utilizing a chemical mutagenesis screen in mice, we identified several novel signaling molecules that are essential for lymphocyte development by regulating cell metabolism and the actin cytoskeleton respectively. We utilize transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics in murine models for understanding how these molecules function.
