Research Summary

Dr. Ghajar directs the Laboratory for the Study of Metastatic Microenvironments (LSM2). The goal of his research program is to understand how microenvironments within distant tissues regulate dormancy, therapeutic resistance, immune evasion and subsequent outgrowth of disseminated tumor cells (DTCs). Our goal is to solve these puzzles and develop therapeutic regimens that eradicate dormant DTCs in order to prevent metastasis.
