Research Summary

Our lab combines approaches from molecular genetics, cell and systems biology to study our discovery of a new non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway in normal and disease states and discovery of cell-to-cell contact in regulating fate decisions. We are interested in studying 1. How fundamental properties of the cell, such as cell metabolism, are regulated by cell-cell interactions and 2. The mechanistic understanding of Wnt5-Fzd2 signaling pathway and its role in maintenance of tumor initiating cells. 3. Developing new experimental and computational approaches to study the tumor microenvironment
