My goal as a mentor and lab head is to create an environment where each individual in our group can succeed. As people in the lab come from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, this requires identifying the needs and talents of each member and then both helping them both to maximize and expand their skills and to integrate into the lab environment, with the goals of being both successful in their research efforts and happy and satisfied in their daily experiences with the research community.
