Mentoring Statement

I strongly believe that incorporating diverse viewpoints, experiences and training significantly increases scientific creativity, innovation and productivity. As such, I aim to build and maintain an inclusive training environment that recognizes end celebrates peoples’ backgrounds, experiences and personalities. Personally, I commit to working with my trainees to pre-empt and navigate through barriers to their success, be they societal, institutional or academic in nature, with the goal of empowering them to be collaborative, creative and successful scientists.
