Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement

As a scientist, one of the most terrific aspects of this career has been the exposure I have gotten to people from a very broad range of ethnic backgrounds from all over the world. Nonetheless, we all know very well that major injustices remain, and it is critical to be proactive in opening opportunities for under-represented minorities and women. While I am proud of my history in terms of the diversity of people, I have the pleasure recruiting to the lab, I am aware of implicit bias, and I am working to further educate myself on how to improve impartiality.
