Our lab focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms by which ion channels, specifically chloride channels, are involved in the development of metabolic disorders and associated cardiovascular diseases. We use cellular and animal models, molecular biology and biochemical approaches, cardiac physiology, and electrophysiology to understand these mechanisms.
