I believe diverse teams are better teams and every student deserves an opportunity to enjoy the fun of science and discovery. Thus, at the Risques lab we work to create a diverse, inclusive and welcoming environment where we can all grow, learn from each other, and perform great science. My goal is to identify the strengths and goals of each individual to help them succeed and be their best as scientists and humans. I truly enjoy mentoring and the opportunity to work hard to make DEI a reality not only in my lab but also in our UW community and beyond.
