Mentoring Statement
I believe diverse teams are better teams and every student deserves an opportunity to enjoy the fun of science and discovery. Thus, at the Risques lab we work to create a diverse, inclusive and welcoming environment where we can all grow, learn from each other, and do great science. My goal is to identify the strengths and motivations of each individual to help them succeed and be their best as scientists and humans. Our research focuses on understanding the link between somatic mutations, aging and cancer with a special focus on health equity.
