Research Summary

Mitochondria are fascinating organelles that coordinate cellular metabolism, generate ATP, function in protein quality control and regulate calcium signaling. Our laboratory is interested in understanding how mitochondria communicate with the rest of the cell to answer cellular needs, and how these communication pathways are altered in disease.We mainly used cultured cells and biochemical methods to understand mitochondrial biology.
