I am committed to increasing diversity in the sciences through mentoring scientists from populations that have historically been excluded from and underrepresented in science. I know from my own training that having a mentor who recognizes your potential, encourages your scientific interests, and promotes your professional development is essential for success in academic science. My hope is that I can mentor trainees from underrepresented groups who will become leaders in the biomedical sciences.
